Coaching and mentoring infuses all aspects of my professional practice. Whether it’s a one-day technical assessment or a multi-year retainer, I try to help my colleagues to see themselves and their situation clearly, to act with integrity and authenticity in their professional roles, and to be agents of positive change, whatever their formal job title may be.
I have found that my coaching can be particularly helpful to emerging leaders, and people who are assuming a new role within their organization. Transitions into management or other leadership, reorganizations, and other changes can be confusing. Folks seem to benefit from having an impartial advocate and advisor at-hand who has seen this sort of thing before and who can serve as a mirror and a sounding board.
I am also open to offering direct 1:1 coaching with people at any level of their career. This will be relatively new ground for me, so we will need to talk through the parameters of the relationship to be sure that it’s a good fit for both of us.
I believe that the most significant impact I can have in the world will come not directly through my own work. Rather, it will be through empowering and lifting other people up. I am proudest not of my own achievements, but in seeing how far people have been able to go after a bit of support and advice.
This is an area of my practice that I would like to grow. If you are interested, please reach out to me and we can work out a plan together.
