I was the first employee at <a href=\"https:\/\/bioteam.net\/\">BioTeam<\/a>, designed and built the IT organization for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nygenome.org\/\">New York Genome Center<\/a>, led research computing at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.broadinstitute.org\/\">Broad Institute,<\/a> and created the production bioinformatics department at <a href=\"https:\/\/genedx.com\">Sema4 (now operating as GeneDx)<\/a>. I have supported 20+ clients as a freelancer, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.modernatx.com\/\">Moderna<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hopkinsmedicine.org\/som\/\">Johns Hopkins School of Medicine<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/arrakistx.com\/\">Arrakis Therapeutics<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fiercebiotech.com\/biotech\/after-ipo-biontech-nabs-cell-therapy-startup-neon-therapeutics\">Neon Therapeutics<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.northeastern.edu\/\">Northeastern University<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inova.org\/\">INOVA health System<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/foregenomics.com\/advisors\/\">Fore Genomics<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/\">NASA<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cray\">Cray<\/a> .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I am currently freelancing and open to work at all scales:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Interim and\/or fractional leadership roles (CIO\/CDO\/CTO)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Data strategies, technical assessments, and information architectures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mentoring, coaching, and advising for individuals or teams<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Service on scientific, advisory, or boards of directors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>I suspect that I will eventually wind up as the Chief Information, Data, Digital, Technology, or similar Officer for another company with a compelling mission, brilliant technology, and unshakable ethics &#8211; but I&#8217;m in no rush.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I bring an unusually broad and cross-cutting expertise and combine exceptional communication, team building, and organizational design skills, with a relentlessly pragmatic focus on results.
